Black Friday & Cyber Monday Deer Hunting Gear Deals 2026
What historically goes on sale in this category and what rarely does, what to buy now versus wait for, and our current top picks with live prices — updated with verified deals when they go live in November. No invented discounts, no predictions dressed up as facts.
How this is funded:we earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which product we recommend, and we’ll tell you plainly when to skip one. Full disclosure.
Key dates for 2026
- Thanksgiving: Thursday, November 26, 2026. The fourth Thursday in November.
- Black Friday: Friday, November 27, 2026. The day after Thanksgiving.
- Cyber Monday: Monday, November 30, 2026. The Monday after.
- Amazon's sale window: Not yet announced for 2026. In 2025 Amazon's Black Friday Week opened November 20 at 12:01 am PST, eight days before Black Friday, and ran through Cyber Monday, December 1. We will update this row when the 2026 dates are published.
The practical point for a deer hunter is where those dates sit in the season: after the rut in most of the whitetail range, and before the coldest sits. That is why the buy-or-wait guidance below is different for gear you hunt with in November and gear you wear in January.
What historically discounts in this category
We did not guess at this. We read the prior-year deal catalogues from two hunting magazines, a premium apparel maker’s own sale page and a premium crossbow maker’s own Black Friday page, all cited under Sources, and listed what actually appeared. This is the observed pattern from last year, which is the only honest basis for a page written in September. It is not a prediction, and a percentage that appeared last year is not a promise of the same this year.
- Optics. The broadest and deepest class in the coverage: Vortex rangefinding binoculars $300 off, a Vortex riflescope $500 off, ZEISS binoculars $100 off, plus thermal and holographic sights. Our binocular and rangefinder picks are the ones to watch.
- Premium hunting apparel. Sitka ran its own sale at up to 60% off in 2024 and was reported at up to 57% off in 2025; First Lite, Kuiu and King’s Camo jackets were $100-$180 off. Our jacket, bib and base layer roundups cover the classes.
- Boots. LaCrosse Alpha Burly boots $60 off and Irish Setter boots $85 off. The LaCrosse Alphaburly Pro is our top hunting boot.
- Cellular trail cameras. Discounted as two-packs in particular: a Moultrie Edge 2 pair $70 off. See the cellular camera roundup and the budget roundup.
- Tree stands and climbing sticks. A Summit Viper SD climber $70 off, a Hawk hang-on $30 off, a Hawk lightweight stand $120 off, Trophyline sticks $40-$90 off. Our stand comparison covers all three types.
- Crossbows. A Wicked Ridge $300 off at a retailer, and one retailer taking 20% off bows and crossbows across Bear, PSE, Diamond, Ravin, CenterPoint and Killer Instinct. See our crossbow picks.
- Archery accessories and targets. Sights 15-28% off, a Hamskea rest $120 off, a Block target $40 off, Bear Archery bows discounted. See the sight and target roundups.
What rarely discounts, and what the coverage did not show
Here the evidence is thinner, and we would rather say so than pad the list.
- Benchmade. The one brand with a direct statement in the coverage: its 15% Black Friday 2025 sale was described as one the brand “does not often run.” If our premium knife pick shows a discount on its button, that is unusual.
- Premium crossbows direct from the maker. Ravin’s own 2025 Black Friday page consisted of certified reconditioned R500-series bows at roughly half of list, marked while supplies last, with one already gone. New current-model bows were not on it. Retailer discounts on current models did appear in the magazine coverage, so the distinction is where you shop, not whether a deal exists.
- Consumables. Hand warmers, scent control, attractants, batteries and SD cards did not show a Black Friday pattern in anything we reviewed. That is an absence of evidence, not evidence of absence — but it means we will not tell you to wait on a $20 item for a sale we cannot point to.
- Safety harnesses. Also absent from the coverage. We would not recommend waiting on one regardless.
Buy now or wait: by product class
This is our reasoning from the pattern above and from where the sale falls in the season. It is guidance, not a forecast.
Safety harnessBuy now
Harnesses did not feature in the deal coverage we reviewed, and the cost of hunting without one is not a price. If they are climbing this season, this is not a wait.
Binoculars and rangefindersWait, if you can
Optics were the most consistently discounted class in last year's coverage — Vortex rangefinding binoculars $300 off, ZEISS binoculars $100 off. A hunter who needs glass for this November already has some; a gift can wait.
Hunting jackets, bibs and base layersWait
Premium apparel discounted deeply in both years of coverage: Sitka up to 57-60% on its own site, First Lite, Kuiu and King's Camo jackets $100-$180 off. The late-season cold arrives after Black Friday anyway.
BootsWait, unless feet are already cold
Boots appeared in last year's coverage (LaCrosse Alpha Burly $60 off, Irish Setter $85 off). Boots are also a sizing purchase; a sale is not a reason to guess the size.
Cellular trail camerasDepends on the season
Cellular cameras discounted last year, typically as two-packs (Moultrie Edge 2 pair $70 off). But the scouting value is before and during the rut, which is over by Black Friday. For this season, buy now; for a gift or next year, wait.
CrossbowsWait for a gift, buy now to hunt
Crossbows discounted at retailers last year (a Wicked Ridge $300 off; one retailer took 20% off across several brands). Ravin's own Black Friday page offered reconditioned units only, while supplies lasted. If the bow is for a season already open, waiting costs hunting days.
Tree stands and climbing sticksBuy now to hunt, wait for next year
Stands and sticks discounted last year (a Summit Viper SD $70 off, a Hawk hang-on $30 off, Trophyline sticks $40-$90 off), but a stand is hunted in October and November. A second stand for next season can wait.
Bow sights, rests and releasesWait, if the bow is already set up
Archery accessories discounted modestly last year (15-28% on sights, a rest $120 off). A hunter mid-season should not change a sight or release anyway; these are off-season purchases, and the off-season starts after the sale.
Arrows, broadheads and boltsBuy when needed
Consumables. Broadheads appeared in the coverage only at small dollar amounts. A hunter who is out of heads in November needs heads in November.
Premium knives (Benchmade)Take it if you see it
The one brand with direct evidence of rarely discounting: Benchmade's 15% Black Friday sale was reported as one the brand 'does not often run.' A discount here is worth acting on, not waiting past.
Hand warmers, scents, attractants, batteriesBuy when needed
We found no Black Friday pattern for consumables in the coverage we reviewed. They are cheap, they are used up, and nobody should be rationing hand warmers in December to save a dollar.
Live deals
None posted yet. We list a deal here only after we have seen it live. When Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals go live in November, this section will carry each verified deal on gear we cover, with the date we saw it. Until then, the section below is the honest substitute: our current top picks with today’s live price, and a struck-through list price wherever the retailer is currently reporting one.
Our current top picks, with live prices
These are the #1 picks from the category comparisons where a sale is most likely to matter, pulled straight from the same data layer as every other price on the site. Each button shows the price and the date it was checked; where the retailer reports a list price and a percentage off, it appears under the button. We add nothing.

How to read a Black Friday hunting deal
Three habits keep a hunter from buying a bad deal in a good sale. First, compare to the price the item actually sold at in October, not the list price in the banner; our buttons show the current price with the date, so you have a reference. Second, be suspicious of a two-pack deal on a cellular camera if you only run one — the second camera is a second data plan, which our subscription-cost guide works through. Third, a discount is not a reason to buy the wrong size, the wrong spine or a weapon that is not legal in your state; the gift guides spend most of their words on exactly which numbers to check first.
Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday, November 27, 2026 — the day after Thanksgiving, which is November 26. Cyber Monday is November 30, 2026. Amazon has not announced its 2026 sale window yet; in 2025 its Black Friday Week opened eight days early, on November 20, and ran through Cyber Monday.
Are there any deer hunting gear deals live right now?
Not on this page yet. We post a deal here only after we have seen it, and as of this page's last update none had gone live. The current top picks below show today's live price, including any discount the retailer currently reports, which is the honest version of a deal list in September.
What hunting gear usually goes on sale for Black Friday?
In the prior-year coverage we reviewed: optics (especially Vortex), premium hunting apparel (Sitka, First Lite, Kuiu, King's Camo), boots (LaCrosse, Irish Setter), cellular trail cameras (often as two-packs), tree stands and climbing sticks, crossbows at retailers, and archery accessories at modest percentages. That is last year's observed pattern, not a guarantee for this year.
What hunting gear rarely goes on sale?
The one brand with direct evidence is Benchmade, whose 15% Black Friday sale was reported as one the brand does not often run. Ravin's own Black Friday offered reconditioned bows only. We found no consistent Black Friday pattern for consumables — warmers, scents, attractants, batteries — in the coverage we reviewed, so treat those as buy-when-needed.
Should I wait for Black Friday to buy a crossbow or tree stand?
If it is for a season that is already open, no — the deer are moving in October and November and the sale lands after the rut. If it is a gift or for next season, yes: both classes discounted at retailers in last year's coverage.
How do you show a discount without inventing one?
Every price on this site comes from a daily retailer check and carries the date it was pulled. When the retailer reports a list price and a percentage off, the button shows the struck-through list price; when it does not, nothing is shown. We never write a discount into a page by hand, and if the daily check stops, the numbers disappear rather than go stale.
Will you post the deals here?
Yes. This page is the single place we will list verified Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on the gear we cover, once they go live in November. Until then the structure above — what discounts, what to wait for, the current top picks — is the useful part.
